"Why Bibi Trust?"

The decade of your midlife crisis is also the time you fall in love with the next generation and how strongly you feel about protecting them. After all, you see them pitter-patter around the house, smile at you with those adoring eyes, and hug you with complete trust that since you are there, everything in this world will be fine. You can't get enough of them, and they can't get enough of you either. And all the world is in rainbow colors and sunshine.

Until you stand up and you hear your back creaking and aching.

Or the time when you two went for a long walk in the park or the mall and it was wonderful seeing her excitement over every new and interesting thing within her sight. Her happiness was your happiness, her excitement yours too. It was an afternoon that felt like a quick fleeting moment. You realize, tonight as you go to sleep, you will think of this as one of your happiest memories. And also the most painful arm from lifting a baby. You didn't notice or barely cared that you overextended yourself carrying her.

You eventually realize that you will grow old. Then quickly correct that thought and accept that you are old. You think that you will not be around long enough to see this young thing grow up to full age. Maybe with luck. And then you drift away dreaming of what you would give her for the time a long long while from now. What will you give her when she wears a white gown instead of this red one.

And that's the beginning of Bibi Trust. A big leap of Faith and a big dose of Hope all for those we love, which if we remember our Cathechism is Charity.
